Not there yet!

When I decided to join the cybersecurity industry back in late 2017 women only represented 11% shortly after to 14% of the industry.

It rose to 24-25% recently.

You might have also heard in recent report that the workforce gap isn’t only 3.4 million rather 4 million due to cut backs & layoffs impacting the industry.

Now, we can only imagine the impact on women in cybersecurity workforce.

Although we are hearing that it is expected to grow to 30% by 2025…

We aren’t & will not be there!

We need more women from all walks of life in to the industry to bring diverse perspectives the industry desperately needs to continue contributing to solving problems & increase innovation.

P.S. Appearing on a Top Cyber Magazine with women in cybersecurity from around the world.

Picture taken in Montréal, Canada on October 2023 at InCyber Forum North America. I was part of a panel to discuss Shake Up Cybersecurity, Merging Talents and keynote on Empowering & Protecting Children Online on the green stage.
